CO-FOUNDER

JULIANA MARTIN

My name is Juliana Martin and I am a rising senior at Parkway Central. I was born in La Paz, Bolivia, moved to Spain for about two years, and then came to the U.S. about 12 years ago. As the years went by, I grew attached to the STL community, but I also noticed more and more problems within it.  It didn't seem right not to take action in order to better a special place in my heart. Which is why I decided to start Strides for STL. Making a positive impact in our community is especially important now while dealing with Coronavirus. I've always had an affinity towards helping others and through this organization, I hope to not only make an impact but spread the will to help within my community. I can't wait to lead and work with the team for a better tomorrow!

CO-FOUNDER

NAVYA BHAGAT

My name is Navya Bhagat and I am a rising senior at Parkway Central. I have always been passionate about helping those around me, whether it is through volunteering, fundraising, or anything else! I wanted to start Strides for St. Louis because I saw a need in my community for growth when issues such as immigration, environmental sustainability, and poverty became exceedingly prevalent as a result of Coronavirus. It is important to me that I am not only staying informed about the world around me but that I am using my knowledge to help others. I am so excited to lead this organization and to watch the impact we can make on the STL community!
